Run the installer

Choose a host-specific prompt, paste it into your AI host, and keep the installer receipt and doctor output as proof.

Ask your AI host

Choose a bounded onboarding prompt for the host you are using. Every variant keeps authentication, evidence, provider-cost, rights, safety, and final-review gates with you.

Prompt variant

Identify the active AI host, run `npx -y @viradev/install`, select the matching host, and complete Vira account authentication. Preserve my existing workspaces and files. Run `vira doctor`. Explain optional provider setup. Keep provider-cost confirmation, rights, safety, and final Video review gates. Never claim success without the installer receipt and doctor evidence. Never silently substitute an unverified source checkout.

Minimum Node.js: 20 or newer
Supported hosts: Codex, Claude, Hermes, and Antigravity on supported Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu setups; Windows x64/Codex is the validated launch path.

Setup

Create and verify your Vira account.
Run the installer command in a terminal.
The installer selects detected hosts automatically; use --client to limit the scope, then complete browser sign-in.
Run the installer doctor, then initialize a fresh workspace.

Troubleshooting

If setup stops, keep the redacted receipt and run the doctor command again. Vira never asks the installer to print provider keys.
